The movie starts in Owen Wilson (the Dad) and his family move to South Asia, but they did not know they were under civil war.
The Dad meets someone in the airport, and he mentions about someone with a taxi, finally the arrived to the hotel.
Well, when Owen realizes about the civil war, he returns to the hotel where they live, he can see how the civilians are murdered in that moment.
He ran quickly to the hotel, when he take his family and try to scape, but the protestants start killing inocent people in the hotel.
The family rises to the top of the hotel and jump to the top of another building, they enter to building and the protestants kill everyone, except the family cause they were hidden, but a protestant in the building finds they, finally Owen killed the protestant.
The family leaves the building quickly to enter to the american embassy, but ¡Surprise! the embassy was taken for the protestants and they started running for them life's
When they could hide in a house, the protestants find them, but the stranger what he met in the airport help them and help they to escape.
The stranger give them a place where they can spend the night safe, but ¡other surprise! THEY AREN'T SAFE, The dad wakes up and the protestants were shooting from another building, all of the family gets up and they ran to the street to escape.
When finally they are in a lake
to escape, a civilian saw they, Owen gives he his clock and shoes to the civilian give them his boat.
They hide under the boat and the protestants came to the boat, and starts a very dramatic fight between the dad and mom and the motestants...
I recommend you to see this movie cause, has a good story and has a duration over the 1 hour and half.
